Toto The Seventh One mp3

Toto The Seventh One imageThis is one of the best Cd’s Toto has dropped to date. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Toto on ‘Pamela’. Lead single “Pamela” and “You Got Me” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Toto is one of my favourite bands of all time.

You Got Me is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Toto has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Stop Loving You is perfect. Mushanga is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. I hope to keep hearing Toto works for a long time to come. In Straight For The Heart the music gets its power. This is one hell of a track. 1000 Years is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. These Chains (5:01) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Home Of The Brave is a bit of a show-tune.

Giles Reaves Nothing Is Lost mp3

Giles Reaves Nothing Is Lost imageThis is the first studio album from Giles Reaves since bad diagnosis in 1988. When you buy a Giles Reaves album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Giles Reaves on ‘Velvet Shade’. Nothing Is Lost constantly brilliant.

That’s All I Can Remember is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Nothing Is Lost. Nothing Is Lost is a very catchy tune. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Second Circle closes Nothing Is Lost on a high note. I can’t stop humming along Weightless Falling. Here And Now make listening to Giles Reaves like being in some sort of time warp. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. The Widow Sky is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo.

Apocrypha The Eyes Of Time mp3

Apocrypha The Eyes Of Time imageSince Apocrypha last CD (The Eyes Of Time) on Virgin Records back in 1988, I have felt a massive void in my life. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Apocrypha comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. The Eyes Of Time is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This is what good Rock should be.

West World (4:58) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Twilight Of Modern Man is probably one of Apocrypha’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. First time I heard Alexander The King was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. The Day Time Stood Still is probably the most interesting track on The Eyes Of Time. The Hour Glass has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. The Man Who Saw Tomorrow is one of these floating songs. Mystic is one of the best records ever.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo Umthombo Wamanzi mp3

Ladysmith Black Mambazo Umthombo Wamanzi imageThis compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Ladysmith Black Mambazo. On the Malta charts, superstar Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. After seeing Uziube Nami Baba, I had to have a good Ladysmith Black Mambazo cd. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Ungikhumbule

Ungikhumbule - For me, this is the best of the album. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Yimani - This one makes me want to not only sing along. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Uthando gets you up and jumping. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Siyawadinga Amandla is a strong cut, one of many. Inhliziyo Zethu is another favourite of mine. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Halleluya is my favorite song on Umthombo Wamanzi. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.

Savoy Brown Live In The Central Park ‘72 mp3

Savoy Brown Live In The Central Park '72 imageThis compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Savoy Brown. When you buy a Savoy Brown album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Let It Rock” and “Shot In The Hand” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Such great and happy songs.

Shot In The Hand without a doubt is the standout song of Live In The Central Park ‘72. The Saddest Feeling marked the continuation of Savoy Brown in style evolution. Music in Can’t Find You is exquisite as in all tracks of Live In The Central Park ‘72. Only one song from Live In The Central Park ‘72 named Tell Mama really got me. Love Me Please still maintains something of a specific flourish. Voice of Savoy Brown in Hip Shake is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.

Death Angel Frolic Through The Park mp3

Death Angel Frolic Through The Park imageI am not a real Metal: Thrash music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Frolic Through The Park’ really is amazing. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Death Angel’s album Frolic Through The Park falls to No. 2 with 659,000, a sales slide of 71%. Self-described as Metal: Thrash with lots of words, Death Angel comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I greatly enjoyed this CD.

I came to like Road Mutants. Why You Do This marked the continuation of Death Angel in style evolution. Bored (3:29) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Confused - I just love it. Guilty Of Innocence is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Open Up is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I hope to keep hearing Death Angel works for a long time to come.

Al Bano Ieri e oggi mp3

Al Bano Ieri e oggi imageSince Al Bano last CD (Ieri e oggi) on Blue Note Records back in 1988, I have felt a massive void in my life. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Al Bano. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Al Bano comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Smart music for smart people.

Acqua di mare is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Nel Sole. Nostalgia Canaglia one is one of the better boring ones. Io Di Notte - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Que sera sera - Okay, I just talked about depth. Il ragazzo che sorride (2:41) a good melody. The song La mia solitudine ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Something is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. 13 storia d oggi is outstanding work of Al Bano. Once you hear Taca taca banda, you will listen to it over and over.

Skin Shame, Humility, Revenge mp3

Skin Shame, Humility, Revenge imageIt’s natural for Skin to take a stab at ‘Nothing Without You’ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. Since Skin last CD (Shame, Humility, Revenge) on ForeFront Records back in 1988, I have felt a massive void in my life. There were many famous songs of Skin available. This album is a scorcher!

Everything At Once is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Breathing Water is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Shame, Humility, Revenge have ended. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. The song feels complete. Shame, Humility, Revenge couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track 24 Hours. Still going through Shame, Humility, Revenge and coming to appreciate One Small Sacrifice more and more with every listen. First time I heard Turned To Stone was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.I Want To Be Your Dog (Bonus Track) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day.
